Quality

When a quality problem occurs from an overseas supplier, it is essential to
have the local support that can react immediately and put in place and manage
containment activities. SCSI provides these services.
- Containment
- Upon notification of a quality issue, SCSI will immediately dispatch
resources to investigate the issue, assess the situation, and coordinate and
manage, if necessary, immediate containment. Once the end customer's
assembly line is no longer immediately in jeopardy, SCSI takes the time to
precisely document and inform the supplier of the issue, current containment, and
suggested continuation of containment plan and cost. SCSI then upon
authorization from supplier will execute containment activity.
-
- Reporting and Review
- SCSI understands how critical it is for overseas suppliers to get as
much detailed information as possible related to product quality issues.
SCSI will provide detailed descriptions, consequences, and photos as well
as, if possible, potential root cause of defects in order for supplier to
accelerate internally corrective action activities.
- Advanced Tools
- SCSI possesses state-of-the-art dimensional gaging and equipment in
order to accurately inspect,
audit, and, when possible and needed, rework the supplier's product.
Additionally, SCSI uses quality assurance management software to handle
product quality non-conformances and has within the WITS the functionality
to identify and segregate shipments, lots, containers that are potentially
or defective.
